Not only was this article informative and well researched, but was a absolute joy to read. Your descriptions brought me to back to Venice on a whole different level. Truly a great story and so well written.

I’m afraid Westworld only secured rights to publish the writer’s photos in the magazine. We did not purchase online rights. We’ll see if we can get some photos posted in a few days.

Truly delicious in every way - I have long dreamed of Venice and Carnival as well. This was a welcome reprieve from boorish tourism articles and the tights...were a hilarious addition to this colorful adventure.
Let me know when you open your tour company, I will surely be the first to book.

Enjoyable article! Have you seen the film "Casanova", with Heath Ledger? If not, I recommend it, if only for the visuals. The film is set in the mid 18th century and was filmed on location in Venice. Great costumes, beautiful, period interiors of homes, a great recreation of a Carnivale celebration and masked ball, and interior shots of the Doge's palace. Plus mutch period music in the background!
