Please, oh please, tell me where I can rent this magical RV. It gets 8 km per litre (20 miles per gallon???), ia apparently amphibious, as it can cross to Vancouver Island without paying ferry fees, and all for only $1200 including mileage costs for a 2 week rental?
Your gasoline costs should be about 4 times what you have stated, your rental costs about $3000 and the ferry costs are about $260, making the cost of the RV very close to that of the flight/hotels.

I agree with Colleen, & am also wondering how to find such a reasonably priced RV vacation. We travel to Vancouver Island from Calgary for a month each summer with our truck & camper & I would say that your RV costs are seriously under-estimated. In addition to what Colleen has noted, where on Vancouver Island you can camp for 2 weeks for $300 during July and August? I think you would be hard-pressed to find a campsite for a Class C RV with power, water, & sewer for under $30 per night.
